Business
Cedaredge has a post office, three banks, library, volunteer fire department and ambulance service both operated by separate districts, in-town doctors and dentists, a hospital 15 minutes away in Delta, a grocery store, a convenience gas station, almost a dozen eateries, retail, artisan boutiques, and plentiful personal care providers. Numerous selections are available for business and service providers including electrical, plumbing, heating, construction, photographers, guest accommodations and many more.
Business support is multifaceted locally and regionally. Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce, Delta County Economic Development, Region 10, Delta County Tourism, Downtown Colorado Inc., the Cedaredge Business Support group (a Town-organized group) and many other organizations provide valuable resources for start up, relocation and expanding commercial enterprises.
Medical & Health Services
Cedaredge boasts two medical clinic as well as dentists, massage, physical therapists and other wellness offices right here in town. We are a short 15 minutes from Delta County Memorial Hospital, and one hour from both Community Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction (which is nationally recognized for cancer treatment) as well as 45 minutes away from Montrose Memorial Hospital.
ChurchES & Community Service Organizations
Almost a dozen churches are within town and a variety of additional denominations are within fifteen minutes of town. The Lions, Rotary, VFW, American Legion, Habitat for Humanity and many more service organizations call Cedaredge home. Youth programs include 4-H, Boy and Girl Scouts, youth groups, library line-ups, year-round athletic leagues, and much more. A food bank serves community members Mondays and Thursdays; senior citizen meals are served Tuesday through Thursday; and a diverse mixture of programs, services and assistance or dedicated volunteer groups can be found locally.
Schools & Education
The Delta County School District manages public school facilities in Cedaredge, including Cedaredge High School, Cedaredge Middle School, Cedaredge Elementary School (whose building is LEAD certified!) and Vision Charter Academy. Additionally, we have two excellent preschool programs in town: Little Sprouts Community Preschool and BELA - the Backpack Early Learning Academy.
Technical College of the Rockies is located in Delta and is about a 20 minute drive from Cedaredge. The service area includes Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, Ouray, and San Miguel counties. Offerings include career and technical education programs approved and/or accredited by the Colorado Community College System and the North-Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI).
About an hour's drive to Grand Junction will bring you to Colorado Mesa University. Founded in 1925, CMU is a comprehensive regional public higher education institution offering liberal arts, professional, and technical programs at the master's, bachelor's, associate and certificate levels.
