Chief of Police

The Cedaredge Police Department is served by Chief Dan Sanders. He previously held the position until January 2020. Chief Sanders began his career with Cedaredge in 2004 as a patrol officer and quickly moved up the ranks, becoming Chief in 2013. Between 2020 and 2021, Chief Sanders served as patrol deputy with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office. “My time with the Sherriff’s Office was wonderful, but it came down to me really missing this community and seeing an opportunity to get back to my roots,” Chief Sanders said.
