Buried History- Annual Story Telling Cemetery Crawl

Saturday, October 1, 2022

It's not just the living who have a story to tell. This is a tribute to all who have passed, and a chance for you to hear their stories.

Members of the Historical Society have been digging up stories from the past. There isn't anyone living that can tell some of these stories, but we have our sources. There are thousands of stories to tell; but we only have time to tell a few, at least for now. We will honor their lives, accomplishments, goals, and tragedies. Many still have family here in the area, but some do not. Some had very long lives and did much, others lives were cut short before they had a chance to fulfill their destinies. Some of the stories we will tell this year include: Florence Hawkins, Harry Bull, and Charles States. Others may be from the Wick, Fickes, Grant, Stolte, Bowness or Gipe families. Please, come and hear their stories -- all important in the early development of the town of Cedaredge. Space for this event is limited and priority will be given to guests who have preregistered.
